Roman Spinale currently performs as an opening act for Jay Leno, and works regularly as a close-up magician for corporate audiences across California and beyond. He has been featured on CBS Television, performed at San Francisco's Edwardian Ball, and in 2014 became the first resident magician at Ristorante Enoteca Pinchiorri, the three-Michelin-star institution in Florence, Italy.

Roman builds nearly all of his own material. During his years as house magician at Curio Nightclub in San Francisco's Mission District, he developed a repertoire of original effects that no other magician performs, and those pieces still anchor his shows today. Guests get sleight of hand at arm's length, paired with the timing of a working stand-up comedian. He performs strolling close-up magic through a cocktail hour, seated close-up shows for small groups, and parlor or stage sets for larger rooms.

He is a strong fit for corporate receptions and conferences, galas and fundraisers, upscale private parties, weddings, and networking mixers, and he is comfortable anywhere from an intimate group of 25 to a room of 300. His style stays polished and conversational, which makes him a good match for high-end and black-tie events where the entertainment has to suit the room. He handles skeptics well, and often wins over the guest who arrived certain nothing would fool them.

Roman came to magic through comedy and has kept a foot in several performing worlds. He works professionally as an actor in film and television, performs stand-up, and spent four years as a restaurant pianist. That range makes him useful beyond the magic: he can host or emcee a program, and he is comfortable working custom, brand-specific material into a set.
